What?
Potpuri is basically an amalgamation of an RSS reader, a bookmarking app and a prehistoric social media site with the explicit goal to preserve your time, sanity and privacy.

- Connect with your friends and share articles and post they might find valuable
- A 24-hour feed shared with mutually accepted acquaintances
- Publish up to 3 original Board posts per rolling 24 hours
- Comment without consuming your post allowance

- Search recent Board posts, hide entries, and save original posts to Bookmarks
- Optionally label newly written posts and comments as LLM aided
Bookmarks
- Bookmarklet to easily save content from your browser
- iOS Shortcut recipe for saving from the share sheet
- Save text in Markdown format
- Save photos and other files, like PDF docs (max 25 MB per entry)
- Add tags
- Recover recently deleted bookmarks from Trash
Reader
- Subscribe to RSS feeds you find valuable
- RSS/Atom reading inbox with 24-hour temporary retention

AI slop, doomscrolling, loss of privacy, manipulative algorithms. These four phenomena renders todays internet addictive and barely usable for the average reader. So far I haven't found a single solution that let's me filter, preserve, access and potentially share information that I actually find useful which doesn't come with at least one of these undesired traits. This is my humble attempt to roll my minimalist digital treasure trove.
